Based in Edinburgh, Greens deli catering was created in 2008 by Jillian & Alex Simon
Both former fine dining chefs to a 2 rosette standard. Passionate about food and our environment.

Alex was born in Alsace in France where he studied for 5 years at one of Frances most prestigious
catering schools, before working in many 5 star hotels and 2 rosette restaurants in France,
Switzerland and Scotland.

Jillian was born in Edinburgh and was a skilled craft baker before she worked in France with world
renowned pastry chef Theirry Mulhaupt. She has also worked in many of Scotland’s 5 star hotels as
Head Pastry Chef.

Greens have an enviable list of prestigious clients within Edinburgh and further afield, we cater at Holyrood Palace for The Royal Company of Archers, we have also catered for Channel 4 and the BBC, The Edinburgh Science Festival, The University of Edinburgh and have catering contracts with Scottish Enterprise and NES education and training.

At Greens we’re not only lovers of great fresh cooking, we do our best to support our local community by using local suppliers. We try to keep the miles that our food ingredients have to travel to a minimum.

We look to achieve the highest quality of food with a minimum environmental impact and still deliver value for money.

Our environmental policy has reduced our energy, water and waste. In the last year we recycled 5,890Kgs and diverted 3,854.93Kgs of CO2(e) by recycling 99.999% of all our waste.

We have managed to find a balance between our customers’ needs in the competitive catering industry and delivering a service that has been built around our environmental policy.
